Resident Architect (APS Contract)

Summary

Oversees on-site architectural works, ensuring compliance with designs, quality, and progress; reviews technical submissions, coordinates with contractors, and manages documentation for construction projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Site Supervision – Monitor architectural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality and design intent.
  • Technical Review – Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups and architectural details.
  • Site Coordination – Coordinate with contractors, consultants and other disciplines to resolve site issues, RFIs and design interfaces.
  • Quality & Progress Control – Inspect workmanship, identify defects/non-compliance, monitor rectification and track construction progress.
  • Documentation & Contract Support – Maintain site records, inspection reports and correspondence, and assist with variations, claims, authority submissions and project handover.
  • Perform other duties assigned by superior.

Job Specification:

  • Minimum 8 years of architectural experience with Degree in relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity in local context.
  • The Resident Architect shall be dedicated full time on Site, not less than 6 months before BSC until CWW is obtained.
