The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Restaurant Assistant General Manager to join the Food & Beverage team at Serea! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.
Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

In this role, you will manage a team of 30+ Front of House Team Member, report to the General Restaurant Manager, and assist in our various food and beverage outlets. Experience in a union environment and luxury hotels is a plus.
The ideal candidate must be an exceptional leader with a passion for creating extraordinary experiences! At least 2 years of restaurant management experience in an upscale dining environment is required. Strong beverage knowledge and prior experience working with a hospitality management group is a plus.

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Oversee daily operations: Assist with managing outlet operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory, cost controls, profitability, marketing, budgeting, and enforcing policies and procedures
- Enhance guest experiences: Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to monitor service and product quality, address guest feedback, resolve issues, and support improvements to the dining experience
- Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members, assist with performance evaluations, and contribute to professional development initiatives under the Manager’s guidance
- Support revenue initiatives: Help implement marketing strategies, up-selling techniques, and promotions to boost food and beverage sales
- Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing #LI-JP2
