Summary
Design 3D models and renderings for robotic components using CAD tools like SolidWorks or Fusion 360, collaborating with engineers to refine and prototype designs.
You will develop 3D models and designs for robotic components and systems using CAD software. You will collaborate with engineers, create design documentation, conduct design reviews, support prototyping, produce renderings, and contribute ideas in cross-functional projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and designs for robotic components and systems using CAD software
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs meet technical specifications and requirements
- Create detailed design documentation, including assembly instructions and specifications
- Conduct design reviews and revise designs based on feedback
- Stay updated on robotics and 3D design technology trends
- Assist with prototyping by creating visual representations of concepts
- Render and visualize design concepts for stakeholders
- Participate in cross-functional teams and contribute innovative ideas and solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a 3D Designer, preferably in robotics or related industries
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, or Blender
- Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with robotics systems and components
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
