Safety Senior II - Underground Storage Field and Safety Advisor

Primary Purpose
Drives continuous improvement of safety programs through risk assessments, program development, and integration of best practices to mitigate hazards and enhance operational safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads development and continuous improvement of company-wide safety programs, including contractor safety and behavioral safety initiatives.
• Acts as subject matter expert for complex safety topics, providing guidance on high-risk operations, regulatory interpretation, and technical standards.
• Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of safety training, adjusting content and delivery methods to improve knowledge retention and reduce incident rates.
• Oversees and coordinates incident investigations, ensuring thorough documentation, root cause analysis, and communication of findings to senior leadership.
• Leads the integration of safety technologies, such as digital inspection tools, real-time monitoring systems, and analytics platforms to enhance incident prevention and response.
• Leads post-incident reviews and continuous improvement efforts to prevent recurrence, including revising procedures and introducing new safety controls.
• Conducts advanced risk assessments for critical processes, offering expert insight on hazard identification and mitigation strategies.
• Drives risk assessment initiatives across all departments to proactively identify emerging safety concerns and implement preventive solutions before incidents occur.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
