Job Type: Full-time
Job Summary
Are you a high-performing, phone-first sales professional who thrives on the hunt? This company is a specialized talent search firm helping high-growth technology and AI companies solve their most difficult hiring challenges. We are looking for a disciplined, mid-level SDR to drive our business development efforts. This is not a recruiting or sourcing role; it is a pure sales position focused on identifying technical decision-makers with active hiring needs and converting them into qualified discovery meetings. If you are a resilient cold-caller who can navigate complex technical organizations and hold sophisticated conversations with CTOs and Engineering leaders, this is the place to grow your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute a high-volume, phone-first outreach strategy, averaging 90–100 targeted cold calls per day.
- Research and identify growth-stage technology companies with active, business-critical technical roles aligned with the firm’s capabilities.
- Navigate technical organizations to identify the functional decision-makers (CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Security Leaders) who own the hiring budget.
- Conduct meaningful conversations to validate hiring "situations," uncover recruiting pain points, and explore paths for agency support.
- Manage a multi-channel follow-up sequence including professional, personalized emails and LinkedIn outreach.
- Qualify leads and schedule discovery meetings for leadership to close new agency search business.
- Maintain meticulous CRM records, ensuring all intelligence regarding reporting structures and hiring processes is accurately documented.
- Aggressively handle objections such as "we use an internal team" or "we don't use agencies" by asking intelligent, curiosity-driven follow-up questions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a dedicated SDR or BDR role, specifically focused on outbound client acquisition.
- Proven track record in cold calling with the ability to maintain high activity levels (1,800–2,000 calls per month) while prioritizing call quality.
- Experience in recruitment business development, staffing sales, or professional services is highly preferred.
- Excellent spoken and written English, with the ability to sound natural, confident, and credible when speaking with US-based executives.
- Ability to read a technical job description and map out who the hiring owner is within an organization.
- Resilient mindset with a demonstrated ability to overcome gatekeepers and common sales objections.
- Must be able to work US Eastern Time (9 AM – 5 PM EST) from a quiet, professional remote environment with high-speed internet.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of managing a large volume of leads and follow-ups independently.
Nice-to-Haves
- Direct experience selling to technical hiring managers in AI, Cybersecurity, Healthtech, or Software Engineering.
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Wiza, and Stardex.
- Understanding of the agency search model (Contingency vs. Retained).
- Experience working in a remote, metrics-driven startup environment.
Benefits
💰 Competitive base salary
🎯 Performance-based incentives for qualified meetings held
📈 Uncapped commission on net collected placement revenue (15% on new accounts)
🌎 Fully remote work environment
