Role Overview
This is a deeply technical, specialist Sales Engineering role focused primarily on RSA Governance & Lifecycle (G&L). This person will serve as the internal G&L Subject Matter Expert (SME), looking after complex, high-stakes technical SE engagements across the international pre-sales organization.
The role will focus (but not limited to) on Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) activities: delivering complicated Proofs-of-Concept (POCs), leading technical workshops, building advanced demonstrations and environments, engineering advanced and non-standard use cases. The role includes a degree of international travel across the EMEA and APJ regions to support key engagements, workshops, and enablement.
The Sales Engineer assists in driving new business from prospective and existing customer accounts within their respective assigned territories, and meeting and/or exceeding the sales quotas to achieve revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the internal G&L SME and go-to technical authority for the pre-sales and wider field organization on Identity Governance & Administration (IGA).
- Design, build, and deliver complex, multi-phase Proofs-of-Concept (POCs) that address advanced customer requirements and edge-case scenarios. Whether remote or onsite.
- Plan and lead technical deep-dive workshops for customers, prospects, and partners, translating business governance requirements into working technical solutions.
- Leverage AI tools to build and maintain advanced, reusable demonstrations that showcase the full breadth of G&L capabilities, including sophisticated and non-standard use cases.
- Design, build, and maintain SE demo environments and reference architectures used by the broader Sales Engineering community.
- Engineer advanced use cases, custom integrations, workflows, connectors, and rules to prove complex governance, provisioning, and access certification scenarios.
- Serve as go-to person within the SE community on the most technically challenging G&L opportunities and evaluations.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to surface field requirements, validate roadmap capabilities, and pilot new features.
- Create and deliver technical enablement, knowledge transfer, and best-practice guidance to upskill partners on G&L.
- Travel across the EMEA and APJ regions as required to support strategic POCs, workshops, and enablement engagements.
- Work in close collaboration with the entire International pre-sales function across RSA.
- Skills and Experience Required
- 6+ years of professional experience in the IT industry.
- 4+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, ideally within Identity Security.
- Solid background in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), ideally hands-on experience with RSA Governance & Lifecycle (G&L).
- Proven ability to design and deliver complex POCs, technical workshops, and advanced demonstrations.
- Strong technical background in Linux, SQL, networking, and Oracle databases.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript and VMware is a plus.
- Proven ability to successfully navigate and relate to varying levels of functional and technical personnel at customer sites.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally across the EMEA and APJ regions.
- CISSP, or a relevant IGA/identity certification, is highly desirable.
