The Senior Account Manager will be responsible for acquiring new corporate and government clients and driving revenue growth through the sale of training courses, programs, and development solutions.
The role involves identifying potential organizations, building relationships with key decision-makers, understanding their training needs, presenting suitable solutions, managing negotiations, and closing contracts. The Senior Account Manager will also manage and grow strategic accounts while ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new corporate and government clients.
- Generate new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Identify key decision-makers and build strong relationships with relevant stakeholders.
- Understand clients’ training and development needs and recommend suitable training solutions.
- Present training programs, courses, and proposals to prospective clients.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to contract closure.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close high-value training deals.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key and strategic accounts.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Monitor and follow up on training opportunities, projects, and tenders where applicable.
- Collaborate with training, operations, marketing, and product teams to ensure suitable solutions and smooth client onboarding.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitor activities.
- Maintain accurate client and sales pipeline records in the CRM.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Account Associates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Sales or Business Development.
- Experience in the training and development, education, consulting, or professional services sector is preferred.
- Strong B2B sales experience, preferably with corporate clients.
- Experience dealing with government entities is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in building and managing long-term client relationships.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and high-value deals.
- Existing network of corporate and/or government contacts is a strong advantage.
