Senior Backend Developer/Architect - Test Data Platform
Summary
A senior Java developer/architect extends a banking client's internal test data platform (an ETL tool that extracts, transforms, masks and loads test data) by adding MongoDB and PostgreSQL support alongside existing Oracle, SQL Server, DB2 and SAS connectors. Day to day: analyzing the architecture, building the new database integrations, writing docs and handing over knowledge, with a hybrid setup
We are looking for a Senior Java Developer/Architect - Test Data Platform to one of our clients within Banking & Finance.
Start date: 2026-10-01
End date: 2027-01-29
Location: Stockholm (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
About the assignment:
The client has an internal test data loading tool used to extract, transform, mask, and load test data across environments. The tool currently supports Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and SAS. You will design, develop, and implement support for MongoDB and PostgreSQL into the existing platform.
Core Responsibilities:
• Analyze existing architecture and integration model
• Implement MongoDB and PostgreSQL support including connection, authentication, metadata handling, data extraction, loading, error handling, and logging
• Develop technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer to the internal team
• Ensure functional parity with existing database connectors and deliver test cases with verification
Profile & Qualifications:
• Senior developer/architect with extensive experience in database integrations and backend development
• Strong background in data migration, ETL solutions, and NoSQL architectures
• Experience from financial sector and complex system landscapes is highly valued
• Familiarity with Test Data Management (TDM), data masking, and GDPR-related solutions is advantageous
