Summary
Senior Business Analyst in Melbourne supporting strategic initiatives at a large, complex organisation: leading requirements gathering, building business cases, investment proposals and roadmaps, analysing processes, and advising senior stakeholders and technical teams. Tools like Excel, Power BI or SQL and frameworks like BABOK or PRINCE2 are regarded.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives within a large, complex organisation. This role focuses on business analysis, strategic planning and investment decisions, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis and documentation.
- Develop business cases, investment proposals and strategic roadmaps.
- Analyse business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support financial modelling and strategic planning.
- Develop future-state operating models and business solutions.
- Engage with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Provide guidance to Business Analysts and improve BA practices.
Key Requirements
- Strong Senior Business Analyst experience in complex organisations.
- Experience developing business cases and investment proposals.
- Strong requirements gathering, process analysis and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of financial modelling and strategic planning.
- Experience across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
Highly Regarded
- Experience in aviation, infrastructure, heavy industry or regulated environments.
- Knowledge of BABOK, PRINCE2, Lean or similar frameworks.
- Experience with Excel, Power BI or SQL.
- CBAP, PMI-PBA or relevant qualifications.
