We’re looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Consultant for a three-month contract, helping deliver an end-to-end reporting solution. This is a hands-on role combining stakeholder engagement, solution design and technical development across Power BI and SQL.Must be based in Christchurch and have valid NZ working rights.
Contract Details:
- Length: 3 months
- Hours: 3-4 days per week
- Location: Christchurch-based
- Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand reporting needs
- Identifying relevant data sources and assessing data requirements
- Designing end-to-end reporting solutions, from data through to dashboards and reports
- Developing Power BI dashboards and reports
- Writing SQL to query, transform and prepare data for reporting
- Working across the full BI development lifecycle to deliver practical solutions
- Exploring opportunities to use AI tools to support and accelerate development
- Proven experience as a Senior BI Developer or BI Consultant
- Strong hands-on Power BI development skills across dashboards and reports
- Solid SQL skills and an understanding of data modelling
- Experience delivering BI solutions end-to-end, from requirements through to implementation
- Strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
- The ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
- Experience using AI to assist development is advantageous
