Job Overview
The role requires a strong background in capital markets technology delivery, ideally with prior Murex implementation experience, together with hands-on ownership of project planning, governance, budgeting, client management, resourcing, risk and issue management, and delivery quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage single or multiple client implementation projects from initiation through to go-live.
- Own end-to-end project plans covering scope, timelines, milestones, resourcing, risks, dependencies, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure alignment between approved proposals, contracts, project initiation documents, effort estimates, pricing, responsibilities, and payment milestones.
- Manage complex project teams comprising client stakeholders, internal delivery teams, business analysts, stream leads, and third-party vendors.
- Monitor project progress against agreed schedule and budget, proactively addressing delivery slippage and escalating risks or issues where required.
- Take ownership of project financials, including resource costs, budget tracking, client invoicing, and project P&L.
- Provide accurate and timely project status reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate software delivery, customization, release, upgrade, and implementation activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project risks, issues, change requests, dependencies, and escalation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or a Master’s degree in Finance / Business.
- Around 10 years of overall professional experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Delivery Project Manager, preferably within a capital markets technology environment.
- Prior experience delivering Murex implementations, upgrades, migrations, or other capital markets technology platforms is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing full lifecycle implementation projects from initiation through go-live.
- Strong experience in vendor-side delivery environments and working with multi-party project teams.
- Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, risk, issues, change requests, and project financials.
- Experience supporting business development activities, including estimation, proposal creation, review, and client presentations.
- Strong stakeholder and client management skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional and multicultural project teams.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification would be advantageous.
