Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer with strong experience across Microsoft Azure and AWS, modern DevOps practices, and cloud‑native architectures. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, building, and operating scalable, secure, and highly available cloud platforms while driving automation, CI/CD, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure and AWS.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, enabling auto‑scaling, high availability, and efficient resource utilization.
• Own cloud infrastructure operations, capacity planning, and cost optimization.
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.

DevOps & Automation

• Design, build, and support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, FluxCD, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.
• Drive GitOps practices for deployment and configuration management.
• Automate operational tasks using Python and Bash scripting to improve efficiency and reliability.

Monitoring, Reliability & Security

• Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Graylog, Mimir, and Uptrends.
• Integrate monitoring and incident management with PagerDuty, Jira, and Confluence.
• Apply security best practices across cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including automated testing and quality gates (e.g., SonarQube).
• Proactively identify and resolve performance, availability, and reliability issues.
• Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline release and deployment processes.
• Lead or mentor engineers on DevOps best practices and cloud‑native approaches.
• Contribute to DevOps strategy and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Support incident response and root cause analysis for production issues.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Cloud and DevOps roles.
• Proven experience operating production workloads in Azure and AWS.
• Strong experience supporting enterprise‑scale, highly available systems.

Technical Skills

• Infrastructure & Operations: Azure Compute, Networking, Storage, ASR, Backup, AWS EC2, VPC, Security Groups, Load Balancing, VM provisioning, patching, hardening, decommissioning.
• CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitOps (FluxCD), Maven.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Ansible.
• Programming & Scripting: Python, Bash, Shell.
• Source Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
• Quality & Security: SonarQube, automated testing integration.
