Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer

In this role, you will design, operate, and optimize secure, scalable Kubernetes platforms within the Akamai Guardicore Data and AI Platform Team. You’ll build GitOps deployment pipelines, reusable cloud infrastructure, and automation to improve CI/CD and self-service capabilities. Your work enhances platform reliability, observability, security, performance, and cost efficiency while leading complex production investigations. Collaborating across DevOps, SRE, software, data, AI, and security teams, you help deliver a resilient, cloud-native data and AI platform for customers.

• Designing and operating secure, scalable, highly available Kubernetes platforms
• Building GitOps-based deployment processes using Argo CD, Helm, and related technologies
• Developing reusable cloud infrastructure and automation using Terraform
• Improving CI/CD, developer experience, and self-service platform capabilities
• Enhancing platform reliability, observability, security, performance, and cost efficiency
• Leading complex production investigations and driving long-term improvements
• Collaborating with DevOps, SRE, software, data, AI, and security engineering team

• DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure expertise with proven ability to optimize and manage systems
• Extensive production experience with Kubernetes, containers, and Helm
• Experience with GitOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Scripting or programming experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
• Technical leadership, ownership, and ability to drive cross-team initiatives
