About the role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Editorial Designer to lead the design and production of SiGMA Magazine, official event guides, and other long-form editorial publications. This role is heavily focused on print design and production, requiring strong technical knowledge of pre-press, print specifications, and hands-on coordination with printers and external vendors.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, print-ready publications from concept to final delivery, working closely with editorial, marketing, and events teams. A solid network of printer and production contacts, along with proven experience managing print workflows, is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and layout of SiGMA Magazine, event guides, and editorial print publications
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from concept development and pagination to final print delivery
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, marketing, and events teams to translate content into strong visual narratives
  • Prepare and deliver print-ready files, ensuring accuracy across specs, colour, and pre-press requirements
  • Coordinate directly with printers and production vendors, managing timelines, proofs, and final outputs
  • Leverage existing relationships with printers and suppliers to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Maintain strong editorial design systems across typography, grids, and layouts
  • Oversee production schedules and ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Review proofs, manage revisions, and sign off on final printed materials
  • Ensure all publications align with SiGMA brand guidelines and editorial standards
  • Stay up to date with editorial design trends, print innovations, and production best practices

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in editorial design, print design, or a similar senior role
  • Proven experience designing magazines, event guides, or large-scale editorial publications
  • Strong understanding of print production processes, pre-press, and large-format printing
  • Established network and working knowledge of printers and production vendors (must-have)
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Excellent eye for typography, layout, and editorial storytelling
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
