Description

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Hardware Engineer with practical experience in PCB design, power circuit design and DC-DC converter development. You will take ownership of electrical and electronic hardware development, from circuit design and component selection through prototype bring-up, testing and validation. This role suits an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, works independently and can contribute quickly with minimal technical supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical and electronic hardware, with a focus on power circuits and DC-DC converters.
  • Perform circuit design calculations, topology selection, component sizing and schematic development.
  • Manage PCB development, including schematic capture, layout design or review, prototype bring-up and debugging.
  • Develop power distribution, voltage regulation and protection circuits, considering efficiency, electrical loads and thermal performance.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting and validation of PCBs and power electronic assemblies.
  • Develop test procedures and acceptance criteria to verify hardware performance under normal operating, transient and fault conditions.
  • Investigate hardware failures, identify root causes and implement design improvements.
  • Address EMC, power integrity, reliability, manufacturability and testability requirements.
  • Work with system, software, mechanical, manufacturing and test teams on hardware integration.
  • Maintain schematics, bills of materials, design calculations, test reports and release documentation.
