Senior / Interior Designer

Job Description & Requirements

We’re looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can bring strong creative thinking, design expertise and a clear understanding of client needs to deliver thoughtful and innovative workplace designs from concept through completion.

What you'll do

• Develop high quality commercial interior design solutions that meet project requirements and uphold DB&B’s creative standards.
• Develop presentation materials that clearly communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Project Leaders and project teams to manage design projects from initiation through completion.
• Apply strategic thinking and analysis to shape project proposals and design approaches.
• Present and advocate creative design solutions to clients, helping to influence decisions and secure project buy-in.
• Participate in project pitching sessions to define scope, objectives and deliverables.
• Identify and develop design opportunities that add value to projects and the wider business.
• Manage the design development process, ensuring designs are delivered within project timelines, budgets and quality standards.
• Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to bring fresh ideas and continuously improve design innovation.
• Champion design excellence by setting high standards and encouraging innovative practices within the team.

What you'll bring

• A background in Interior Design or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of commercial interior design, workplace design principles and industry standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe.
• Ability to create 3D models and spatial visualisations using SketchUp.
• Experience with rendering and visualisation software such as Enscape, V-Ray or Lumion is an advantage.
• Ability to produce detailed design drawings, space planning layouts, mood boards and presentation materials.
• Strong conceptual and creative thinking with an eye for design excellence.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to bring design ideas to life for clients and stakeholders.
• Strong coordination and collaboration skills when working with project teams and consultants.
• Knowledge of workplace strategy, sustainable design practices and current market trends is an advantage.
