Senior iOS Developer (Network/VPN)

Salary: RM 20,000 – RM 30,000 per month

About the role

Senior iOS Developer responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving iOS applications, particularly VPN and accelerator products. The role involves handling core networking functionalities, optimizing system-level capabilities, and managing the complete lifecycle from development through App Store submission and maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve iOS applications

• Handle core networking functionalities, including connection management, network state management, server switching and error recovery

• Develop and optimize system-level networking capabilities using Network Extension and Packet Tunnel

• Optimize connection speed and stability under challenging network conditions, including weak networks, high latency and frequent network switching

• Optimize client-side performance, battery consumption, memory usage and crash rates

• Develop membership systems, in-app purchases, account management and device management functionalities

• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to assess requirements and deliver projects

• Handle App Store submissions, resolve App Review issues and maintain existing app versions

About you

• At least 3 years of iOS development experience, with the ability to independently deliver a complete commercial iOS application

• Strong proficiency in Swift, with the ability to read and maintain Objective-C code

• Familiarity with UIKit, SwiftUI, GCD, OperationQueue, and Combine or Swift Concurrency

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS, IPv4 and IPv6

• Hands-on experience with Network Extension, PacketTunnelProvider or system-level networking features

• Experience handling network switching, automatic reconnection, connection timeouts, error recovery and optimization under weak network conditions

• Familiarity with communication, data sharing and lifecycle management between App Extensions and the main application

• Experience with StoreKit, in-app purchases, auto-renewable subscriptions, Keychain, local storage and push notifications

• Strong performance analysis and production troubleshooting skills, with experience using Instruments, crash logs and network packet capture tools

• Familiarity with App Store submission procedures and review guidelines, with the ability to independently resolve review and release issues
