Responsibilities

  • Design secure backend services and API contracts for platform capabilities
  • Build backend microservices and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
  • Develop and maintain production code with a focus on reliability and security
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce agreed engineering standards
  • Write unit tests and ensure sufficient coverage for critical components
  • Follow CI and quality practices to support consistent delivery
  • Participate in Scrum ceremonies to align on goals, progress, and risks
  • Estimate work and contribute to planning sessions with realistic commitments

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Java development experience in backend services
  • REST API design and development experience
  • Strong leadership skills to influence engineering best practices and code quality
  • Solid project estimation skills for development tasks in agile delivery
  • Hands-on Spring Boot skills for microservices development
  • Strong code review skills and ability to provide actionable feedback
  • Strong unit testing skills and knowledge of CI best practices
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration in Scrum ceremonies
  • Upper-Intermediate English (B2) proficiency for daily communication

Nice to have

  • APIs and Integration experience across internal and external systems
  • GitHub Copilot experience for GenAI-assisted development workflows
  • Solution Architecture skills to shape service boundaries and integration patterns
