Senior Java Developer
Summary
Build and maintain scalable Java microservices and REST APIs using Spring ecosystem and Kafka for enterprise backend systems.
We are seeking a talented Senior Java Developer to join our team.
In this role, you will contribute to designing and delivering robust, scalable backend solutions that power business-critical applications. You will work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain code across backend components
- Build backend microservices and REST APIs to support scalable business functionality
- Write unit tests to ensure the reliability and correctness of the code
- Conduct code reviews to uphold quality standards and share knowledge across the team
- Follow engineering best practices, including code review, unit testing, and continuous integration
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies as an active member of the Agile team
- Take part in estimation and planning sessions to support delivery predictability
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- At least 3 years of professional relevant experience in software development
- Strong programming skills in Java for building enterprise-grade applications
- Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA for backend development
- Solid background designing and developing microservices architectures
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka for distributed event streaming
- Experience designing and developing front-end applications and APIs
- Hands-on background with GenAI-assisted development to boost productivity and code quality
- English at B2 level or higher, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience with APIs and Integration patterns across distributed systems
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted coding
- Exposure to Solution Architecture principles and practices
