Senior Java Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices. You will work closely with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing, and reliable solutions that support critical healthcare services.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions.

• Optimize application performance and implement robust error handling and logging.

• Integrate with third-party platforms and internal services using modern API standards.

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following development best practices.

• Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence.

• Ensure compliance with security standards and data protection requirements.

• Support Agile/Scrum delivery processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and performance optimization.

• Participate in performance reviews, development activities, and required training programs.

• Perform additional duties within the scope of the role as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional Java development experience.

• Strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.

• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Solid understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).

• Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.

• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL database experience.

• Proficiency in JavaScript.

• Experience with Vue.js is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
