Senior Java Developer

Location: Punggol (Onsite)
Duration: 12-month renewable contract

Design, develop, enhance, and support enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including business requirement analysis (BRD), functional specifications (FSD), technical design, development, testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), deployment, go-live planning, and production support.
Design and support FIX Protocol interfaces for order routing, execution, and trade processing.
Develop and maintain message-driven integrations using Apache, JBoss, and MQ technologies.
Provide production support, troubleshoot application issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize system performance.
Work closely with business users, project managers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external partners to deliver stable and scalable solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and deployment documentation while ensuring compliance with security and architectural standards.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience in Java/J2EE application development.
Experience with Apache , JBoss , and message queue (MQ) technologies.
Strong scripting skills using Shell, Perl, or Python .
Solid experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
Good database development experience with Oracle and Sybase (MS SQL is an advantage).
Exposure to or experience with the FIX Protocol and financial/trading systems is preferred.
Strong understanding of the complete SDLC, including requirements analysis, technical specification writing, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Experience supporting mission-critical applications in a production environment.
Experience in vendor management, stakeholder coordination, and working with cross-functional teams.
