About the project

For our Client, a global leader in payment technology, we are looking for an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join a strategic Data Center Migration Program.

You will become part of a large-scale infrastructure transformation project supporting payment card acquiring and issuer processing platforms. The role focuses on migrating mission-critical Linux environments while ensuring the highest standards of availability, security, and operational stability.

You'll work closely with Application, Middleware and Infrastructure teams, Project Managers and international stakeholders to build, test and migrate complex enterprise environments.

Your responsibilities

• Participate in a large-scale Data Center Migration program.

• Build, configure and migrate Linux server environments.

• Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Oracle Linux platforms.

• Deploy and support application servers including JBoss, WildFly, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Oracle HTTP Server and Spring Boot applications.

• Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Rundeck and scripting.

• Monitor Linux environments and ensure high availability, performance and security.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and resolve infrastructure incidents.

• Collaborate with Application & Middleware teams during migration activities.

• Support infrastructure provisioning, access management and environment configuration.

• Create and maintain technical documentation in Confluence.

• Work closely with international technical teams throughout planning, testing and migration phases.

Must-have

• 5+ years of commercial experience as a Linux System Engineer or Linux Infrastructure Engineer.

• Strong administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and/or Oracle Linux.

• Hands-on experience with application servers:

  • JBoss

  • WildFly

  • Tomcat

  • Apache HTTP Server

  • Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)

• Experience with Spring Boot application environments.

• Practical knowledge of Ansible and/or Rundeck.

• Strong Linux troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.

• Experience with Bash or Python scripting.

• Good understanding of:

  • TCP/IP networking

  • Load balancing

  • TLS/SSL

  • High Availability environments

• Experience working with monitoring and diagnostics tools.

• Fluent Polish and communicative English.

Nice to have

• RHCE certification.

• Experience in Data Center Migration projects.

• Experience in financial services or payment processing environments.

• Knowledge of PKI, PGP and cryptographic solutions.

• Experience with enterprise transaction processing systems.

• Familiarity with infrastructure resilience and disaster recovery concepts.
