Senior Low-Latency Java Engineer - London

In this role you build and optimize ultra-fast Java and Rust frameworks powering algorithmic trading at scale. You work within a specialist electronic trading technology team to deliver low-latency, event-driven solutions. You will engage in hands-on coding, performance analysis, and mentoring to raise engineering excellence. • Develop and optimize low-latency, event-driven trading infrastructure in Java and Rust
• Implement performance-focused enhancements across Linux-based environments
• Work on market data handling, back-testing, and simulation tools
• Analyze system performance and perform targeted optimisations
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical leadership

• Experience in low-latency algorithmic trading systems
• Strong Java and JVM performance optimisation skills
• Experience with Linux internals, system calls, and kernel tuning
• Exposure to TCP/IP and kernel-bypass technologies
• Background in event-driven or event-sourcing microservices
• Familiarity with KDB, Rust, or C++ is advantageous
