Operational
- Provide leadership and expert technical knowledge to manage compliance of all aspects of fire safety across all assets, ensuring that the services are maintained and improved
- Conducting regular fire risk assessments to identify potential hazards and prevent fire
- Developing and implementing an emergency response plan, including evacuation routes and procedures
- Providing fire safety training to employees to help create a positive work culture
- Regularly conducting drills to ensure employees are prepared to respond to a fire emergency
To establish fire safety inspection programs to eliminate, minimize and control potential sources of fire or fire hazards. Short listing and selection of outsourced agency by defining the scope of work, evaluating the technical capabilities of various agencies, plan for the overlap of agencies, etc. Conduct regular discussions with the agency manager/ supervisor of the outsourced agencies to discuss the agency’s performance, identify areas of improvement and prepare an action plan for the same - Provide inputs to the Management for preparing the budget (both operational expenditure and capital expenditure requirements) for own area of operation and Monitor the expenses (both capital and operational expenditure) of the function against the assigned budget and ensure compliance
- Liaising with TNFRS & RTO for renewal of Fire license, vehicle registration and Fitness certificate
- Capable of handling fire protection & detection projects and give input as per the fire safety standard
Provide assistance to the scheduled internal and external audits by preparing schedules, ensuring all documentation is in place and liaison with the internal and external auditors. The fire safety manager shall be responsible for supervising the issuance of authorizations for hot work & Confined space entry - During emergency coordinate with internal and external teams and activate Emergency Management Plan for controlling the situation
