Lead a team of network engineers to design, deploy, and maintain Cisco-based campus WAN infrastructure using BGP, OSPF, and MPLS while acting as the technical lead for major incidents.

Summary: This role focuses on providing technical leadership and guidance for a team of Network Engineers within the Campus WAN area, ensuring operational efficiency and handling major incidents effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the activities of Network Engineers in the Campus WAN area.

  • Manage the operational aspects of network services, including configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Cisco ASR/ISR routers, using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS.

  • Act as Technical Lead for major incidents, with 24/7 on-call availability.

  • Oversee Change, Release, Incident, and Problem Management processes.

  • Handle Event, Availability, Capacity, Vulnerability, and CMDB Management.

  • Involve in network planning, design, architecture, installation, and configuration of components.

  • Optimize network performance and ensure quality assurance of configurations.

  • Document processes according to guidelines.

Must Haves:

  • Cisco CCNA or CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent)

  • Experience with Cisco ASR/ISR routers

  • Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS protocols

  • Leadership experience, especially with nearshore teams

  • Fluent in English

Nice to Have:

  • Cisco SD-WAN Specialist certification

  • Knowledge of ITIL practices

  • Fluency in German

  • Experience with Ansible/Python and CheckMK
