What you'll do

• Oversee the comprehensive technical design and execution of significant initiatives that span the entire organization.
• Lead the deployment of AI-driven tools aimed at enhancing code development, conducting reviews, improving observability, and automating operational tasks.
• Tackle intricate technical challenges across multiple business units to boost overall quality and operational efficiency.
• Design and enhance high-concurrency distributed systems, leveraging AI for effective capacity planning and anomaly detection.
• Provide training and ongoing support to internal teams to ensure the adoption of standardized AI-integrated engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement best practices in system architecture and performance optimization.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of existing systems and propose enhancements that align with the latest technological advancements.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Bybit remains at the forefront of the digital asset exchange market.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation that outlines system architecture, design decisions, and operational guidelines.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on development experience in backend engineering.
• Expertise in programming languages such as Go or Java, with a strong emphasis on concurrent programming and high-concurrency system design.
• Demonstrated experience with microservices architecture, distributed services, and storage solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, system internals, and middleware technologies like etcd, Nacos, or Kafka.
• Proven track record in gRPC development and performance optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in utilizing profiling tools, Arthas, and Linux command-line utilities for effective system diagnostics.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications in engineering contexts.
• Ability to assess the implications of AI technologies on system security, costs, and overall stability.

Nice to have

• Experience in designing trading platforms or high-availability financial systems that require robust performance.
• A background in AI-driven observability, automated stability governance, or operational excellence.
• Knowledge of the internals of open-source middleware solutions such as Redis or Kafka.
• A history of contributing to open-source projects or engaging in technical blogging to share knowledge and insights.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Go and Java programming languages.
• Experienced with gRPC for service communication.
• Strong command of Linux systems and tools, including Arthas for monitoring.
• Familiar with middleware technologies such as etcd, Nacos, Kafka, and Redis.
• Knowledgeable about large language models (LLMs) including Copilot, Claude, and DeepSeek.
• Understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems and their applications.
