About the role

We are seeking a Senior Product Owner - Banking Industry to join our team on a contract basis in Central Jakarta, Jakarta. This is a strategic role that will play a pivotal part in driving product vision, strategy, and delivery for banking sector clients. As Senior Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining product roadmaps, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions that address the specific needs of the banking industry. This role offers the opportunity to influence product direction and work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with banking industry requirements and client business objectives

• Gather, analyse and prioritise business requirements from multiple banking stakeholders and translate these into clear, actionable user stories and product specifications

• Work collaboratively with development teams, business analysts, architects and quality assurance professionals to ensure efficient and effective product delivery

• Manage product backlog priorities and iterations, making data-driven decisions on feature development and enhancements

• Conduct regular stakeholder meetings and client reviews to communicate progress, gather feedback and manage expectations throughout the product lifecycle

• Monitor market trends, competitive landscape and emerging technologies within the banking sector to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

• Define acceptance criteria and success metrics for product releases and features

• Mentor and support junior product management and business analysis team members where applicable

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to banking solutions

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of product management or senior business analysis experience, with substantial exposure to banking, financial services or related regulated industries

• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology products in agile or iterative environments

• Strong understanding of banking products, processes, regulations and customer requirements (retail banking, corporate banking, payments, or related domains)

• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, executives and external clients

• Advanced proficiency in translating business requirements into technical specifications and user stories

• Experience with product management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum or Kanban

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions

• Knowledge of banking compliance frameworks, data security standards and regulatory requirements such as OJK regulations or Bank Indonesia guidelines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Indonesian

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

• Professional certifications such as PSPO, Certified Product Owner (CPO) or equivalent product management credentials are advantageous
