Responsibilities:

  • Manage sourcing and purchasing activities to support prototype builds, New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot production, and mass manufacturing.
  • Execute purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of raw materials, components, equipment, and services.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, NPI, Planning, Production, and Quality teams to meet project timelines and production schedules.
  • Source new suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, lead times, and commercial terms to achieve cost and delivery targets.
  • Support NPI activities, including BOM validation, cost estimation, supplier selection, and fast-turn procurement.
  • Monitor supplier performance, expedite critical orders, and resolve supply issues to minimize production risks.
  • Ensure technical specifications, engineering drawings, and material requirements are accurately communicated to suppliers.
  • Maintain purchasing documentation and ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ERP processes.
  • Identify alternative suppliers and materials to improve supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing, procurement, and supply chain operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), prototype builds, or project procurement is highly preferred.
  • Strong supplier negotiation, sourcing, and vendor management skills.
  • Experience purchasing mechanical parts, electrical components, tooling, consumables, or production equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good English communication skills; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
