Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily purchasing operations to ensure uninterrupted support for manufacturing activities.
- Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and commercial terms to achieve cost-saving targets.
- Procure raw materials, consumables, spare parts, equipment, and services while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.
- Identify and qualify alternative suppliers and materials to mitigate supply risks and improve supply continuity.
- Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and material availability.
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, business reviews, audits, and performance assessments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, import/export regulations, and procurement procedures.
- Analyze procurement data and generate reports on cost savings, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and purchasing KPIs.
- Support localization initiatives and inventory reduction programs to improve working capital efficiency.
- Lead project procurement activities, including new product introductions, equipment purchases, and site expansion projects.
- Develop, coach, and manage a team of purchasing professionals to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a purchasing team is preferred.
- Strong supplier negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor management capabilities.
- Experience procuring direct and indirect materials, equipment, spare parts, and manufacturing services.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate costs, supplier performance, and inventory optimization opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
- Fluent English communication skills; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
