Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage daily purchasing operations to ensure uninterrupted support for manufacturing activities.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and negotiate pricing, contracts, lead times, and commercial terms to achieve cost-saving targets.
  • Procure raw materials, consumables, spare parts, equipment, and services while ensuring quality, cost, and delivery requirements are met.
  • Identify and qualify alternative suppliers and materials to mitigate supply risks and improve supply continuity.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to optimize inventory levels and material availability.
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement in quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost competitiveness.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, business reviews, audits, and performance assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, import/export regulations, and procurement procedures.
  • Analyze procurement data and generate reports on cost savings, supplier performance, inventory optimization, and purchasing KPIs.
  • Support localization initiatives and inventory reduction programs to improve working capital efficiency.
  • Lead project procurement activities, including new product introductions, equipment purchases, and site expansion projects.
  • Develop, coach, and manage a team of purchasing professionals to achieve operational and strategic objectives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a purchasing team is preferred.
  • Strong supplier negotiation, strategic sourcing, and vendor management capabilities.
  • Experience procuring direct and indirect materials, equipment, spare parts, and manufacturing services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate costs, supplier performance, and inventory optimization opportunities.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, supply chain management, and procurement best practices.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills across all organizational levels.
  • Fluent English communication skills; Chinese language capability is an advantage.
