Senior Sales Executive - Lift Industry

Posted Updated
Discussion

🌍 Who are we?

Operating across Europe and Asia, WeMaintain specialises in the maintenance and modernisation of lifts, escalators, automatic doors and fire safety systems, combining hands-on technical expertise with technology and data.

Our approach is built on a simple belief: maintenance can be more reliable, transparent and effective when teams have the right tools, the autonomy to make decisions and a clear understanding of what's happening across the equipment they look after.

Since 2026, Otis has been our majority shareholder. WeMaintain continues to operate independently, retaining its own organisation and culture while benefiting from additional resources to support our growth.

Three core values guide the way we work every day:

  • Care (looking after others): treating colleagues and customers with respect, consideration and a genuine sense of responsibility.

  • Grit (determination): seeing things through with high standards, commitment and perseverance.

  • Uniqueness (being different): embracing different perspectives, fresh ideas and new ways of doing things.

Our ambition is to raise the standards of maintenance, alongside the people who make it happen every day.

👀 Why we're hiring

We're looking for a Senior Sales Executive – Lift Industry to join our Sales team in Singapore.

We're recruiting for this position to accelerate the growth of our lift and escalator maintenance portfolio, strengthen our presence in the Singapore market and develop new long-term customer relationships.

We have an established local operation and a growing ambition to expand our customer base. To achieve this, we need someone who can proactively identify opportunities, open doors and convert prospects into sustainable maintenance contracts.

You'll work closely with our local Operations and Finance teams, alongside our commercial leadership, to ensure that the opportunities we develop are both commercially attractive and operationally deliverable.

The main purpose of this role will be to generate new business, develop strong customer relationships and contribute directly to the growth of WeMaintain's maintenance portfolio in Singapore.

🔎 What makes this role different at WeMaintain?

This position goes beyond traditional account management. It's a genuinely new-business-focused role, where your ability to identify opportunities, build relationships and close deals will have a direct impact on our growth.

You won't simply manage an existing portfolio or respond to incoming tenders. You'll be expected to actively create opportunities and take ownership of the full sales cycle.

In practice, you'll be responsible for:

  • Driving proactive new-business development, identifying prospective customers and generating qualified opportunities across the Singapore market.

  • Building relationships with property managers, facilities management teams, asset managers, building owners, consultants and contractors.

  • Managing the entire sales cycle, from initial prospecting and discovery through site assessments, proposals, negotiations and contract signature.

  • Conducting site visits to understand equipment conditions, operational constraints and customer expectations.

  • Working with Operations to develop technically appropriate solutions and commercially sustainable pricing.

  • Preparing and presenting compelling proposals that demonstrate WeMaintain's technical expertise, transparency and service quality.

  • Maintaining a structured and reliable pipeline, ensuring accurate CRM information, consistent follow-up and realistic sales forecasts.

  • Identifying opportunities to expand customer portfolios across additional buildings or sites.

  • Collaborating with Operations and Finance to ensure smooth handovers following contract signature.

You'll have genuine autonomy in how you develop your market, organise your prospecting activities and manage your commercial opportunities, while benefiting from the expertise of our local operational teams.

We use CRM tools to structure our pipeline, track opportunities and support commercial decision-making. Maintaining reliable information and strong follow-up discipline will be an important part of your role.

Beyond these initial priorities, the scope of the role may evolve depending on business growth, customer opportunities and areas for improvement you identify.

👑 Who we're looking for

Above all, we're looking for a genuine hunter who enjoys winning new business, understands technical services and knows how to build long-term customer relationships.

Your background matters, but we're equally interested in how you work: your ability to take initiative, manage your pipeline independently, follow through on commitments and take accountability for your results.

What you'll need

  • A successful track record in B2B sales, particularly in new-business acquisition.

  • Proven experience in the lift or escalator maintenance industry.

  • The ability to independently manage a complete sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signature.

  • Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.

  • A good understanding of technical service contracts, customer needs and commercial considerations.

  • The ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at different levels, from on-site operational teams to senior decision-makers.

  • A structured approach to prospecting, pipeline management, forecasting and follow-up.

  • Strong ownership, autonomy and a proactive commercial mindset.

  • Professional fluency in English.

What would make you stand out

  • An established professional network within Singapore's property management, facilities management or built environment sectors.

  • Previous experience selling recurring lift maintenance contracts.

  • Experience working with building owners, managing agents or consultants.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM platform.

  • Experience selling technical services involving site assessments, equipment constraints and operational delivery.

  • The ability to identify cross-selling opportunities or develop multi-site customer relationships.

These are genuine advantages, but they're not all essential. If you feel the core responsibilities match your experience and you identify with the way we work, we'd really encourage you to apply.

💡 What you should know before joining us

We believe in being upfront about what a role involves. This position comes with:

  • A strong focus on hunting: a significant part of your success will depend on your ability to proactively generate opportunities rather than rely on inbound leads.

  • Full ownership of your pipeline: you'll be responsible for maintaining momentum, following up consistently and progressing opportunities towards signature.

  • A technical sales environment: understanding equipment, service requirements and operational constraints will be essential to building credible proposals.

  • Close collaboration with Operations: winning a contract is only valuable if we can deliver what we've promised.

  • Regular customer meetings and site visits: you'll need to be comfortable spending time in the field across Singapore, not just working from a desk.

  • Commercial accountability: you'll be expected to take responsibility for your activity, pipeline quality and results.

In return, you'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to our growth, develop your own customer relationships and see the tangible impact of the business you bring in.

This position will particularly suit someone who enjoys prospecting, meeting customers, solving problems and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

It may be less suited to someone looking for a predominantly account-management role, a fully established pipeline of incoming leads or a position with limited responsibility for new-business generation.

✏️ How to apply

We carefully review every application. We're not necessarily looking for someone who ticks every single box on a job description, and we know that the strongest career paths aren't always the most conventional.

We also recognise that women, in particular, can be less likely to apply for a position unless they meet every listed requirement. So, if you're reading this and thinking, "This role sounds like a great fit, but I don't quite tick every box", we'd genuinely encourage you to apply anyway. What matters most to us is what you can bring to the role, how you think, how you collaborate with others and the impact you could have at WeMaintain.

We value diversity in backgrounds, experiences and perspectives, and we're committed to creating an inclusive working environment. Every application is considered fairly, regardless of background, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, beliefs or personal circumstances.
