Senior Sales Manager Engineered Products, North America
JOB SUMMARY
Our client, a global manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Sales Manager to drive profitable revenue growth, manage strategic customer relationships, and develop new business opportunities across North America.
This senior commercial position will manage significant key accounts while developing a strong pipeline of new opportunities. The successful candidate will collaborate with customers and global cross-functional teams throughout the RFQ, quotation, negotiation, order fulfillment, and product commercialization processes.
This position is based in the Raleigh/Garner, North Carolina area and follows a hybrid work arrangement consisting of three days onsite and two days working from home. Periodic travel to customer and manufacturing locations is required.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant commercial experience will also be considered.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five years of progressive B2B sales, business development, or strategic account management experience within industrial manufacturing or engineered products.
- Proven success managing significant key accounts, growing existing business, and developing new customers.
- Experience managing RFQs, quotations, pricing, revenue forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with close attention to commercial and technical details.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, production, finance, quality, warehouse, and supply chain teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- English proficiency required; Spanish proficiency preferred.
- Ability to travel periodically to customer and manufacturing locations.
- Experience managing strategic accounts or developing business across the United States, Mexico, Canada, or broader North American markets.
- Experience managing large OEM or industrial manufacturing accounts.
- Experience with castings, foundry products, machined components, metal products, related manufacturing processes, CRM systems, or sales forecasting tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute sales plans and forecasts aligned with revenue and growth objectives.
- Manage and grow assigned strategic accounts while maintaining strong relationships with customer stakeholders.
- Conduct customer business reviews and identify opportunities to expand existing business.
- Research target markets, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and market development.
- Lead customer meetings, presentations, capability discussions, and commercial negotiations.
- Coordinate RFQs and quotations with engineering, operations, production, finance, quality, and supply chain teams.
- Review customer requirements, specifications, volumes, pricing, margins, lead times, and commercial terms.
- Ensure quotations and commercial proposals are accurate, competitive, and aligned with profitability objectives.
- Track opportunities in the CRM system and maintain accurate pipeline and revenue forecasts.
- Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, customer retention, and revenue attainment.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business recommendations for senior leadership.
- Support customers throughout the order fulfillment and product commercialization processes.
- Coordinate the resolution of customer concerns and ensure timely escalation and closure.
- Support collection activities related to overdue customer accounts.
- Collaborate with international manufacturing and commercial teams to ensure successful customer execution.
- Travel periodically to customer and manufacturing locations.
