Senior Software Engineer | AWS Cloud
Deliver secure, scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Java, Python and modern DevOps practices on a major government technology program. This role requires full-time onsite attendance in Canberra for the first 3 months, with hybrid arrangements considered afterward.
Location : ACT
Work Arrangement: Hybird
Contract Duration: Contract to 30 June 2027 with 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: Must hold an AGSVA NV1 clearance

Essential Tasks

• Design and develop cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices and integrations on AWS.
• Build serverless and containerised solutions using Lambda, ECS, EKS and related AWS services.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK.
• Provide technical leadership across design, development, deployment and operational support.

Key Criteria

• Senior software development expertise across complex applications and cloud solutions.
• Strong AWS cloud-native development experience with Java, Python, Node.js or TypeScript.
• Experience designing complex software and systems using secure, scalable architecture patterns.
• Strong systems integration, automation, CI/CD and technical leadership capability.
