What you'll do

  • Develop and manage data pipelines, including deployment, orchestration, and maintenance.
  • Implement DevOps architecture and provide operational support for cloud-based applications.
  • Build unified data platforms, standardized APIs, and data ingestion services.
  • Create user-facing interfaces for data discovery, metadata search, and request management.
  • Design secure data delivery microservices with robust authentication and authorization.
  • Establish observability systems for lineage tracking, data quality monitoring, and compliance reporting.
  • Plan and execute cloud deployments across both public and private environments.
  • Automate processes and maintain documentation for continuous integration and deployment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in DevOps automation, containerization, and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in cloud computing deployment and management within AWS or GCP.
  • Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Bash, JavaScript, Scala, Rust, or Go.
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, virtualization, and networking concepts.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Flink, Hadoop, distributed file systems, and message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Knowledge of security incident response, patch maintenance, and regression testing.
  • Ability to manage on-premise deployments and government-specific networking infrastructure.

Nice to have

  • Experience with machine learning toolkits and interactive workloads such as Databricks or KX.
  • Familiarity with government IT infrastructure and internal network environments.
  • Experience with tools including Ansible, Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Artifactory or Nexus Sonatype.
