Rocksteady Studios Senior Technical Animator (12 Month FTC)
Rocksteady Studios is looking to add to its family of world-class staff and are seeking an exceptionally talented Technical Animator who is ready for the challenge of producing our next unannounced AAA title.
- Report to Lead Technical Animator, keeping them informed of daily/weekly progress.
- Maintain, improve and create in-house animation and rigging pipelines and toolsets.
- Coach non-senior members in new tools, knowledge and alternative effective ways of working to further improve group skillsets and knowledge base.
Technical
- Unreal 4 experience.
- Knowledge of Motion Builder and 3ds Max
- Experience writing tools in Python for a variety of programs.
- Meticulous working methods and well organised.
- Skill with cloth, physics and ragdoll setups.
- Any Knowledge of the following is a bonus:
- Motion Builder
- ORSDK
- 3ds Max SDK.
- Maxscript
- C++
- Maya:
- Mel
- PyMel
- Motion Builder
Skills
- The ability to consistently rig/skin complex models and animation setups to a high level with as few iterations as possible.
- An excellent working knowledge of Motion Builder and 3ds Max (2015 and above).
- An excellent working knowledge of Python
- An excellent working knowledge of Maxscript and dotNet libraries to create toolsets to support rigging solutions.
- Able to work well on their own as well as a part of the larger team.
- Self-motivated to learn new techniques and methods.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Capable of writing detailed documentation.
- Exceptional eye for detail.
- Strong animation background.
- The studio closes between Xmas and New Year (Discretionary)
