Senior Unity Developer

Summary

Senior Unity Developer builds and optimizes mobile games using C# and Unity, collaborating with designers and artists to ship polished iOS/Android titles.

This is a remote position.

Your Mission

As a Senior Unity Developer, you’ll lead the technical development of our mobile game projects, working closely with designers, artists, and other engineers. You’ll bring complex features to life with clean, scalable code, and ensure our games run smoothly across a wide range of devices.

What You’ll Do
  • Architect and implement core game features and systems using Unity and C#

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with game designers, artists, and product managers to define and refine gameplay mechanics

  • Optimize code and assets for performance, memory, and battery life across iOS and Android platforms

  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pairing, and best practice sharing

  • Own the pipeline for testing, building, and deploying Unity projects with an eye on automation and stability

  • Debug and fix complex issues across different mobile devices and OS versions

  • Stay ahead of mobile gaming trends, Unity updates, and platform changes to proactively guide technical decisions


Requirements

What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of professional experience developing mobile games in Unity

  • Shipped at least 2+ mobile titles on iOS and Android in a senior or lead role

  • Strong command of C#, Unity architecture, and game development best practices

  • Proven experience with mobile performance optimization and memory management

  • Familiarity with backend integration (Firebase, PlayFab, or custom APIs)

  • Proficiency in version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows for Unity

  • Experience with UI/UX implementation and animations in Unity

  • A mindset of ownership, initiative, and problem-solving

Nice to Have
  • Experience with multiplayer features, matchmaking, or live ops tools

  • Knowledge of shader programming or graphics optimization

  • Familiarity with data-driven development, A/B testing, and analytics

  • Interest in mentoring, technical leadership, or team scaling
