SERVICE-TO-SALES MANAGER; Westside Hyundai
The Service-to-Sales Manager plays a vital hybrid role in bridging the service and sales departments to drive new and pre-owned vehicle sales. Operating primarily from the service lane, this manager engages directly with service customers to introduce relevant inventory, present vehicle trade-in or buy-back opportunities, and generate incremental sales.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Service-to-Sales specialists or associates.
- Oversee staffing, training, and development for the Service-to-Sales team.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and mentorship.
- Enforce company policies and address any personnel matters within the team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Anticipate and establish monthly and annual sales and expense goals, preparing the departmental operating budget.
- Actively engage with service customers to identify upgrade, trade-in, or vehicle purchase opportunities.
- Recruit, train, and monitor automotive sales employees, including monitoring commission sheets and payroll.
- Ensure compliance with Federal and State laws related to automotive sales.
- Support sales representatives in setting realistic and aggressive monthly targets, assisting with deal closure and approval.
- Monitor departmental customer satisfaction ratings and ensure follow-up with potential buyers.
- Develop, execute, and supervise a sales control system.
- Provide direction for staffing, performance evaluation, and training to ensure effective sales and service programs.
- Review and analyze customer preference and operational records to focus automotive sales efforts.
- Consult with department heads for advertising services, equipment acquisition, and customer information.
- Engage with prospects to understand their equipment needs and advise on suitable automotive equipment.
- Address retail-related concerns and coordinate with salespeople to close vehicle purchase deals.
- Forecast annual dealership sales by estimating total vehicle sales, operating profits, and departmental expenses.
- Conduct scheduled sales training and meetings to plan and implement automotive sales objectives.
- Respond to customer complaints and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
