The GS-13 Homeless Program Coordinator is responsible for the operations of the RVAHCS Outpatient Homeless Programs. This includes monitoring contracts in collaboration with Contracting, overseeing grant recipients, and coordinating services across multiple divisions including Social Work Service, Mental Health, Ambulatory Care, Facility Management, Inpatient Services, and various other RVAHCS departments.

This includes close coordination of administrative functions for the Housing and Urban Development VA Supportive Housing Program (HUD-VASH), the Grant Per Diem Program (GPD), the Healthcare for Homeless Veterans Program (HCHV), Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team (HPACT), and the Veterans Justice Outreach Program (VJO). The GS 13 Homeless Program Coordinator is responsible for oversight of clinical performance measures pertaining to homeless Veterans that include Homeless Hotline, Homeless Clinical Reminders, Homeless Outreach Functions and Homeless Operation Management Evaluation System (HOMES) program. As the supervisor, the incumbent assists in planning, establishing, and implementing policies and procedures; developing individual or group goals and objectives as well as monitoring, operating, evaluating, coordinating and overseeing the staff of the assigned program. The incumbent will ensure that staff whom they supervise are aware of and adhere to all current VHA directives, meet current Joint Commission Standards, state licensure standards, and VA OIG expectations. Case load duties may be assigned, depending on staffing levels, and health care system need.
