Summary

About the role
Join a software development and IT services team supporting critical business, manufacturing and automation operations. You will design, develop, test, maintain and improve software applications, databases and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), while providing technical support and ensuring compliance with documentation practices, GxP requirements and relevant quality standards.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, code, test, debug, document, maintain and modify software applications according to business and operational requirements.
Develop, implement and maintain software solutions using various programming languages, with a strong focus on C#.
Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database applications while ensuring data integrity, performance and reliability.
Perform PLC programming development and support automation-related software requirements.
Develop, enhance and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to support manufacturing operations.
Analyse and process large datasets to support business operations, reporting and decision-making.
Develop and maintain Windows Forms applications.
Provide basic Windows Server and IIS administration, including troubleshooting and system maintenance.
Provide hardware and software technical support when required.
Ensure software development activities comply with established documentation practices, GxP requirements and relevant quality standards.
Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective software solutions.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or an equivalent field.
At least 2 years of experience in IT services, software development or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages, with strong knowledge and hands-on experience in C#.
Solid knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft SQL Server and database management.
Familiarity with Windows Forms application development.
Basic knowledge of Windows Server administration, IIS and computer hardware support.
Ability to analyse and work with large datasets.
A good understanding of the software development lifecycle, testing, debugging and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of good documentation practices and GxP compliance requirements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Experience in PLC programming and MES development is an added advantage.
Bahasa Malaysia and English language proficiency are required. Mandarin-speaking ability is an added advantage for communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
