Software Developer

Salary: RM 4,500 – RM 6,500 per month

About the role

We are seeking a Software Developer to join the development team at Terasync Technology Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Cyberjaya, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that drive our business solutions forward. As a mid-level developer, you will take on increasingly complex technical challenges whilst contributing to the strategic development of our technology platform. This position offers the opportunity to grow your technical expertise whilst working on meaningful projects that impact our clients and the broader organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop robust software applications using appropriate programming languages and frameworks

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices

• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback into your own work

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions

• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and system improvements

• Maintain and enhance existing codebases whilst implementing updates and patches

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to deployment and maintenance

• Document technical specifications and create user guides where applicable

• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge with team members to foster continuous learning

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of professional software development experience including at least two (2) years of hands-on experience with the PHP/Laravel, Net/C#, Angular, MySQL Framework.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Javascripts/Nodejs or similar

• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns and object-oriented programming

• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

• Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases

• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous

• Familiarity with API development and microservices architecture is a plus

• Experience in automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines is desirable
