Summary
Orbio AI is hiring a senior backend/full-stack engineer in Madrid to build and scale its conversational, agentic AI platform for enterprise hiring and employee experiences. The core stack is Python (async, Django/Channels, Celery, RabbitMQ/Redis), SQL/NoSQL, React and CI/CD, with hands-on LLM work (prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, agents).
Position Overview
Orbio is looking for a Senior Backend/Full-Stack Engineer (primarily backend) to help build our conversational, agentic AI platform, integrations and APIs. You'll architect and scale production-grade systems supporting hiring, onboarding, and employee experiences in real enterprise environments, working with LLMs and autonomous agents as part of the stack.

Technical Skills
Backend
- Strong Python expertise: async programming, API development, real-time ASGI (Django/Channels)
- Testing, logging, monitoring, performance optimization
- Data storage (SQL and NoSQL) and async message queues (Celery + RabbitMQ / Redis)
- High-throughput, low-latency systems
- Production-grade application development
Full-Stack & DevOps
- JavaScript frameworks (React preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms
- Deploying and scaling systems in production
AI (working knowledge, willingness to go deeper)
- Basic understanding of LLMs: prompt engineering, RAG, function calling
- Familiarity with agentic patterns and orchestration
- Awareness of LLM cost, guardrails, and evaluation
- Exposure to conversational/voice AI (STT/TTS, telephony) a plus
