Software Engineer

About the role

Asia Properties & Assets Consultancy Pte Ltd is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build and ship features used by private residential. You'll join as a software engineer working on the platform, owning work from design through production.

What you'll do

• Design, build and maintain reliable, well-tested features across (frontend/backend / fullstack)
• Turn product requirements into technical designs, and break work into clear, shippable pieces
• Write clean, maintainable code and review teammates' code with care
• Own your work in production: monitoring, debugging and fixing issues when they come up
• Improve performance, scalability and developer tooling over time
• Work closely with product managers, designers and QA to ship on schedule
• Share knowledge through documentation, pairing and mentoring junior engineers

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong skills in at least one of (Python / Java / Go / TypeScript)
• Experience building and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
• Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modelling
• Comfort with Git, code review, automated testing and CI/CD
• Good grasp of data structures, algorithms and system design basics
• Clear written and spoken communication in English
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to have

• Cloud experience with (AWS / GCP / Azure), plus Docker and Kubernetes
• Frontend experience with React or a similar framework
• Experience with event-driven systems or message queues (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Familiarity with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing)
• Experience using AI coding tools or building LLM-powered features
• Background in Real Estate / MCST will be an advantage
