Software Engineer (CockroachDB) at BairesDev
As a Software Engineer specializing in CockroachDB, you will design and manage globally distributed, strongly consistent SQL databases. You will ensure data survivability and high availability across multiple regions, leveraging NewSQL principles to support mission-critical applications.
What You'll Do:
- Design and implement globally distributed database architectures using CockroachDB
- Configure and optimize geo-partitioning strategies to reduce latency and ensure data residency
- Manage database replication and survivability to maintain high availability and disaster recovery
- Tune distributed SQL queries and schema designs for optimal performance in a NewSQL environment
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate scalable distributed database solutions into application workflows
What we are looking for:
- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Database Administration, or Data Engineering.
- Proven expertise in working with CockroachDB for globally distributed and strongly consistent SQL databases.
- Proficiency in handling geo-partitioning and survivability at scale.
- Deep understanding of Distributed SQL and NewSQL architectures.
- Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and high-availability configurations.
- Advanced proficiency in English.
