SIMPLERYO TECHNOLOGY LIMITED provides software development and digital technology solutions to businesses. Our work includes designing and developing software applications, programming, system integration, digital platform development and ongoing system improvement to help clients improve operational efficiency.

We are now seeking a skilled and experienced software engineer to join our team. This is a full-time job with guaranteed hours of 30 hours per week, but you will normally be required to work around 35 hours.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business and system requirements and designing, developing, implementing and maintaining software applications and customised digital solutions. The role will also involve software integration, testing, debugging, deployment and technical evaluation to support the delivery of effective technology solutions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyse business, operational and system requirements gathered through the Company's client engagement process, and translate those requirements into software designs, system specifications and appropriate technical solutions.
  • Review and evaluate existing software applications, digital platforms and associated systems to identify technical limitations, system deficiencies, integration issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and develop software applications, system components and customised digital solutions to meet identified functional, technical and operational requirements.
  • Write, modify and maintain program code in accordance with approved software designs, system requirements and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with applicable development and quality standards.
  • Design and implement integrations between software applications, digital platforms, databases, APIs and other business systems to improve system functionality, interoperability and operational efficiency.
  • Test, debug and diagnose software applications and system components, identify and correct programming errors and technical faults, and ensure that applications and systems perform in accordance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
  • Implement, configure and support software applications and digital solutions, including software deployment, system upgrades, modifications and ongoing technical maintenance.
  • Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation, including software specifications, system documentation, implementation records, user documentation and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate software technologies, digital platforms and system architecture options, and provide technical recommendations to clients regarding software design, system improvements, software selection and upgrades, taking into account technical feasibility, functionality, cost and operational requirements.
  • Monitor and support implemented software applications and digital solutions, investigate technical and performance issues, and develop or implement modifications to improve system reliability, functionality, performance, security and maintainability.

Technical Skills:

  • Good knowledge of software development and programming principles.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python and C++.
  • Knowledge of databases, APIs and system integration.

To qualify for the job, you should have:

  • At least three years of relevant work experience or a relevant bachelor's degree.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet project deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a high standard of work.
