Software Test Engineer - Engine Software (Automation & Control QA)
Location: Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
Employment type: Full-time, individual contributor
Experience: 1-3 years in software testing
Responsibilities
- Set up test environments: configure ECS hardware and software for testing
- Prepare test plans and test specification documents
- Run HMI regression, integration, new-feature and bug-fix testing
- Validate defects, run feature tests and release tests across each test cycle
- Work with the development team on test plans, execution, and tracking defects to resolution
- Follow agile (Scrum) practices and suggest improvements to development guidelines, processes and standards
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing, mainly manual testing
- Experience in regression testing, performance testing and functional verification
- Knowledge of test specification management and creating test specification documents
- Basic knowledge of different testing types
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good knowledge of Scrum and the agile development process
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Basic scripting in Python, PowerShell or JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of test automation
- Experience testing embedded products, or working in a product development environment
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering, or MCA / MCS.
