Who are you?
You’re a smart collaborator who likes solving complex problems and takes ownership to get things done. You stay up to date with the latest and greatest in business and technology tools, platforms, and languages and want to ensure our clients do too. You love working across teams and are enthusiastic about doing your part to ensure everyone succeeds.
What will you be doing at Atrium?
At Atrium, you’ll be the Snowflake expert who helps us win the work and deliver it, with your time split roughly 50/50 between pre-sales and billable client projects. On the pre-sales side, you’ll partner with our sales team to shape solutions, build POCs and demos, and show clients what’s possible. On the delivery side, you’ll be hands-on in client engagements, designing and guiding scalable, high-performing data architectures that drive real business results.
In this role, you will:
-
Spend roughly 50% of your time on billable client projects, leading end-to-end Snowflake solution design across ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption layers
-
Partner with Account Executives and sales leadership as the Snowflake technical lead on new opportunities, from first discovery call through close
-
Lead technical discovery sessions with client stakeholders to uncover business goals, data challenges, and success criteria
-
Design and present solution architectures, roadmaps, and recommendations that tie clearly to business value — for both technical and executive audiences
-
Get hands-on-keyboard building proofs of concept (POCs) and live demos that show clients what’s possible in Snowflake
-
Shape scope, level-of-effort estimates, and key assumptions for proposals and SOWs, setting delivery teams up for a clean handoff
-
Contribute technical content to RFP/RFI responses, proposals, and pitch decks
-
Build reusable demos and best-practice accelerators that grow Atrium’s IP library
-
Represent Atrium as a Snowflake subject-matter expert in client workshops, partner events, and webinars
-
Set best practices for data modeling, query optimization, security, access control, and cost management
-
Architect scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data quality checks using tools like Fivetran, dbt, and custom frameworks
-
Tune Snowflake performance and cost (clustering, materialized views, warehouse sizing) and troubleshoot issues to root cause
-
Translate business requirements into technical specs while ensuring security, privacy, and compliance standards are met
-
Mentor data engineers and stay current on new Snowflake features to keep our platform and offerings ahead of the curve
In this role, you will have:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
-
8+ years in data warehousing, data architecture, or senior data engineering, including 4+ years hands-on as a Snowflake Architect
-
Customer-facing pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting experience — you’re comfortable running discovery, demos, and POCs
-
Deep knowledge of modern data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and data architectures
-
Expert SQL skills, including performance tuning complex queries on very large datasets
-
Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and integrating Snowflake with cloud services
-
Proficiency with data integration tools and languages (e.g., Python, Spark, dbt, Fivetran, Matillion, Dagster), plus Git systems (Github, Bitbucket) and CI/CD approaches for data solutions
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a knack for making complex concepts clear to any audience
-
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment
-
Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or Advanced) highly desired
