Sr. Automation Test Engineer

5G Test Automation Role (PCRF/PCF/SCP/NRF):

Experience: 5 - 10 years

Automation Scripting: Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites from scratch using Python, Tcl/iTcl, or Robot Framework to validate 5G cloud-native Network Functions.

Framework Management: Build and maintain automated test pipelines using Gherkin syntax, PCWEB, or similar test tools, ensuring strict execution of regression and stability pools.

5G Architecture Testing: Execute automated validation for Service-Based Architecture (SBA) flows across 5G Core functions including SCP, NRF, PCF, and 4G PCRF.

Signaling & Protocol Verification: Validate 5G control plane protocols (HTTP/2, REST APIs, JSON/YAML) and 4G Diameter interfaces (Gx, Gy, Rx, Sd, Sy) through automated signaling scripts.

Call Flow & Routing Automation: Automate the end-to-end testing of SCP routing rules, delegated discovery, Model-C/D communication, and NRF profile registration/heartbeats.

Resiliency & HA Validation: Develop automated chaos and failover test cases to evaluate pod failures, ungraceful terminations, and interface switchovers in a CUPS environment.

Performance & Capacity Benchmarking: Script automated load, capacity, and stress tests to monitor CPU trends, maximum signaling limits, and maximum simultaneous PDU sessions.

Cloud-Native Integration: Deploy and execute test automation frameworks natively inside containerized Kubernetes and OpenShift cluster environments.

Observability Tracking: Integrate automated scripts with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch to track real-time application metrics and KPI synchronization.
