Sr. imos iX CAD/CAM Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled imos iX CAD/CAM
Designer to join our dynamic team. This role involves creating detailed 3D
models and CNC programming for manufacturing using the imos iX software suite.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD/CAM processes, a deep
understanding of manufacturing workflows, and a proven ability to design modular
cabinetry components and assemblies.
Requirements
1. Design and Development:
- Use imos iX software to design
furniture and other modular units tailored to client specifications.
- Create detailed 3D models and
generate accurate manufacturing drawings and schematics.
- Ensure all CAD designs are
optimized for manufacturing and conform to industry standards.
2. CNC Programming:
- Develop and optimize CNC
machining strategies using imos iX CAM modules.
- Program, simulate, and adjust CNC
machine tools to ensure precision and efficiency in production.
- Troubleshoot programming issues
and refine processes to enhance production quality and turnaround.
3. Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with the engineering
and production teams to translate designs from concept to production.
- Provide technical support to the
production team during the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with other designers
and stakeholders to ensure design specifications are met.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Perform quality checks on designs
and CNC programs to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Update and revise designs and
programs based on feedback from manufacturing and quality assurance
teams.
- Maintain documentation of design
files, revisions, and specifications for future reference.
5. Innovation and Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest
trends and advancements in CAD/CAM technology.
- Suggest and implement
improvements in design and programming techniques to increase efficiency
and reduce costs.
- Participate in training and
development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in imos iX software
and related tools.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s
degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
· Proven
experience in CAD/CAM design, preferably with imos iX software.
· Strong
understanding of manufacturing processes, CNC programming, and furniture
design.
· Proficient
in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
· Excellent
problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Strong
communication and teamwork skills.
· Ability
to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
