The Sr. Director, Global Purchasing sets overall category goals and priorities; the Sr. Purchasing Manager is responsible for developing and executing the category strategy for their scope, in alignment with those goals. Strong analytical rigor — accurate, timely reporting on spend, COGS, and supplier performance — is central to the role.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the direct purchasing team of Purchasing Managers — set clear objectives, run regular 1:1s, set SMART objectives, and support their professional growth.

Oversee direct sourcing with external vendors following Benefit purchasing strategies, budget guidelines, product specifications, supply chain, and sustainability requirements. • Drive COGS Excellence and Year-Over-Year Savings — lead Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) efforts to identify annual savings targets. Own KPI targets including savings objectives, cost of goods sold (COGS) dollars, tooling budget, and other budget guidelines. Identify and analyze opportunities to competitively bid and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Maintain strong analytical rigor and reporting accuracy — track spend, COGS, and supplier performance data to a high standard of accuracy and use that reporting to flag risks and opportunities early.
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships — develop and maintain strong relationships with our strategic suppliers, lead the annual supplier business reviews process to improve performance within the scorecard's KPIs. Build collaboratively and support sourcing strategy based on supplier performance.
  • Ensure supplier compliance and traceability across the supply chain — track and audit supplier compliance on social and environmental criteria (including SA8000 and related certifications), collect raw material data, and escalate risks with corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support the business, including (but not limited to): Packaging on supplier strategy and selection; R&D on supplier strategy and to support innovation sourcing; Finance on COGS and gross margin analysis, keeping a total cost approach; and with Sustainability on the plastic roadmap.
  • Collaborate with LVMH central purchasing organization and sister brands to obtain full support and leverage synergy areas; participate in benchmarking opportunities.
  • Ensure the timely rollout of Operations service contracts and supplier guides with new and existing suppliers. Liaise with Legal to ensure agreements follow legal compliance and company objectives. Align with Operations and suppliers on key terms and conditions for all supplier guides.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Customer focused (internal and external).
  • Detail oriented with strong follow-through and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint abilities.
