This position is located within the War Media Activity (WMA), a Department of War Field Operating Activity reporting to the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of War for Public Affairs (ATSW Public Affairs). WMA is a world-wide media organization, employing state-of-the art and emerging multimedia production and distribution technologies, operating from multiple locations in the United States and overseas and with deployed combat and contingency forces throughout the world.
As a Supervisory Program Manager (Deputy to the Director) at the GS-0340-13 level you will be responsible for the following duties: Directs the centralized business and operational management of complex public affairs, broadcasting, and command information missions across multiple geographically dispersed regional stations and units. Oversees the entire lifecycle of financial and budget management, including formulation, justification, and execution of operational budgets and contingency funds. Conducts rigorous analysis of financial impacts on staffing, services, and operational output, implementing cost-effective strategies. Manages and oversees the physical, facility, and contractual resources of the organization. Directs support service operations, accountable property programs, facility-related engineering functions, and the negotiation and execution of Inter-Service Support Agreements (ISSAs) and commercial support contracts. Coordinates and drafts short- and long-term strategic plans, operational policies, and continuity of operations (COOP) plans. Continuously evaluates program performance against strategic goals, analyzes operational metrics, and implements strategic realignment of resources to optimize mission capability.
