System Engineer Internship

Salary: RM 1,100 per month

We are looking for a passionate and analytical fresh graduate to join our IT team. In this role, you will start by learning the fundamentals of Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) and Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW). You will be trained to build, secure, and maintain enterprise-grade application servers.

Simultaneously, you will be exposed to modern infrastructure technologies, including Linux (Red Hat/Oracle), Docker containers, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This is a hands-on learning role where you will work under the mentorship of senior engineers to support critical business systems.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the team in installing and maintaining Oracle WebLogic Server and middleware systems in Linux or Windows environments.

• Support the setup and management of middleware servers and application environments to ensure systems run smoothly.

• Help deploy applications (such as Java-based systems) into testing and production environments.

• Monitor system performance and review logs to help identify and troubleshoot system issues.

• Assist in implementing basic security configurations and system updates to maintain system stability and security.

• Support Linux administration tasks, including basic system checks, file permissions, and user management.

• Assist in database connectivity setup and basic troubleshooting between applications and databases.

• Learn to automate routine tasks using basic scripting and tools under guidance from senior engineers.

• Gain exposure to container technologies (Docker) and cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Work closely with senior engineers to support system maintenance, deployments, and troubleshooting activities.

Requirements:

• Degree or Professional Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/IT or equivalent.

• Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, with an interest in troubleshooting technical issues.

• Basic understanding of Operating Systems (Linux/Windows), Networking (IP, DNS), and Database concepts.

• Effective oral and written communication with strong analytical, problem solving, multitasking and project management skills are essential on the job.
